Meet Alissa

As a classically trained musician and teacher and by scoring a 176 on the LSAT myself, I understand the ins and outs of the process – both from a student and educator standpoint.

My experience as a public educator taught me that anyone can learn with enough patience and the right kind of curriculum. Although not everyone is great at the standardized test experience, you can learn the LSAT when provided with the right game plan.

I want you to spend less time studying, learn more efficiently, and get your choice of schools in the end.

I specialize in helping busy career-shifting professionals, those who don’t have 5 hours to study every day, as well as neurodivergent students and high-achievers that may struggle with anxiety or ADHD.

Because my tutoring is so personalized and I truly care about each of my students, I work hard to make sure I’m utilizing the best tools and strategies for each student’s individualized needs. I teach online 1-1 and also offer group rates.

  I cannot recommend gameplan tutoring enough; with Alissa’s help I went from feeling lost while studying for the LSAT to feeling confident, motivated and centered.   Alissa is an amazing LSAT tutor. Prior to meeting Alissa, I was struggling badly with Logical Reasoning. I had tried PowerScore, Kaplan, and LSAT Trainer and none of those helped me comprehend Logical Reasoning the way she did.

Alissa is extremely intelligent and has a way of explaining complex Logical Reasoning problems in ways you can understand. If you don't comprehend a problem with one explanation, she'll give you a different explanation until it makes perfect sense to you. She truly has a lot of mental dexterity. Moreover, she really seems to care about her students and really becomes invested in your success. For instance, between tutoring sessions, she always answered any questions I had whenever I sent her an e-mail asking for a clarification on a difficult question.

Additionally, she laid out an achievable game plan that included homework assignments, drills, and video recordings of my tutoring lessons that helped keep me sharp and were super helpful.

Alissa is truly an LSAT genius. If I can give an analogy to describe her approach, I'd say it's like having Michael Jordan teach you how to play basketball. You're learning from someone who is operating at the highest level of the game.

  What separates Alissa from other LSAT tutors (and I have had a few) is that she is a certified professional classroom teacher. Coming from that background gives her an assessment tool that other tutors do not have, which is the ability to determine which kind of learner is in front of her and the skills to tailor her instruction style to match the student's learning style.
